Reliance Communications has introduced a new service `Reliance STD Card'
offering an STD tariff of Re 1 per minute, making it available to all
post-paid and pre-paid customers of its mobile and fixed wireless
subscribers. "The launch of Reliance STD Card would enable our more
than 2.6crore subscribers to make long distance calls to any network
in the country
at Rs 1 per minute", said Mr S.P. Shukla, President - Personal Business,
Reliance Communications. The company said the new tariff is being introduced
with a view to catering to heavy STD users and is applicable on the Rs 675
denomination calling card.
